How can I schedule an appointment with a doctor at the clinic?
You can schedule an appointment by calling our clinic’s reception desk during operating hours or by using our online appointment booking system on our website.
What are the clinic’s operating hours and days?
We are open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturdays from 8:00 AM-2PM and closed on Sundays and Holidays..
Can I walk in for a consultation, or do I need to make an appointment in advance?
You may make an appointment to see an available doctor of your choice, or you may “walk-in” at any time during clinic hours to see the doctor managing the “walk-in” clinic on that day.
Are there any specific COVID-19 protocols or requirements in place for clinic visits?
Yes, for the safety of our patients and staff, we have implemented COVID-19 protocols. All patients are asked to maintain social distancing, and use hand sanitizers provided. All patients with respiratory complaints, will be required to wear a mask.
What types of medical services are offered at this clinic?
We offer a wide range of primary healthcare services including general check-ups, minor procedures, chronic disease management, and more.
Are there specialized doctors available, such as paediatricians or gynaecologists?
No, M-Care is a primary care clinic and there are no specialists on our team. Where specialist care becomes necessary, patients are REFERRED by our primary care doctors to the appropriate specialist.
How do I obtain prescription refills for my medications?
You may request prescription refill by sending a request by email or WhatsApp or by calling the front desk directly. Once the request for prescription is made, the attending physician will determine whether the prescription may be written. A response to your prescription request will follow within 24 hours.
What payment options are accepted for medical services?
We accept cash, major credit/debit cards, and some health insurance plans. Please check with our receptionist about your specific insurance coverage.
Is there a pharmacy on-site or nearby where I can fill my prescriptions?
M-Care does not have an on-site pharmacy, however there are pharmacies very nearby in the vicinity. (Within 100 yards of the clinic.)
Can I get referrals to specialists if needed, and how does that process work?
Yes, if necessary, our doctors will provide you with referrals to specialists.
We will guide you through the process and ensure you are referred appropriately.
How do I access my test results?
All test results will be reported to you by either the doctor or the clinic nurse. (Even if results are normal) Review of test results may be done by telephone call, Telemed consult, or in-person consultation.
Can I get copies of my test results?
You may have a copy of your test results on request. Once those results have been reported to you by clinic doctor or nurse.
Can I get a Medical Report or Summary of my visit(s)?
Medical Report/Summary will be issued to you upon request. You will have to complete a release form unless the report is requested by Legal Authorities, for your Receiving Doctor or your Insurance Company. Please allow a few business days for processing.
How often should I come in for routine check-ups and preventive care?
It’s recommended to schedule a routine check-up at least once a year. However, the frequency might vary based on your age, health condition, and risk factors. Our doctors will provide personalized recommendations
Can I receive telemedicine services for certain appointments?
Yes, we offer telemedicine appointments for existing registered patients. Our special M-Care Telemed service is offered through a secure on-line portal and is reserved for non-emergency medical problems, review of results or general counselling and advice.
Insurance & Payment
What types of medical insurance plans do you accept for payment?
At present, Payments may be made with SAGICOR CARICARE cards only. Except in this case, patients are expected to pay for services rendered.
What should I do if my insurance plan isn’t listed as accepted at the clinic?
If your insurance plan isn’t listed, you need to pay for services upfront and then submit a claim to your insurance company for reimbursement. We can provide you with a detailed receipt to facilitate this process.
Do I need to pay a copayment or deductible at the time of my visit?
Copayments are necessary when SAGICOR CARICARE CARD is used. Deductibles vary based on the insurance plan. Please check your plan details or contact your insurance provider for more information.
Remember, insurance policies can vary widely, so it’s recommended to contact your insurance provider directly to clarify coverage details and to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about insurance coverage for primary health care services.
Loyalty Membership
How do I enroll in the program?
Registered patients may enroll in the program by filling out a simple form. This form may be completed on the website (found here) or at the clinic location.
Can anyone enroll in the program?
“No”. In order to enroll in the program, you must be a registered patient.
What benefits are offered in the program?
As of now, the benefit offered in the program is one complimentary consultation after 5 swipes of the card by any person in your group.
How does the clinic communicate updates or exclusive offers to members?
Updates and messages about other exclusive offers for members will be sent by email or SMS message.
Can family members or dependents participate in the program?
“Yes”. Any person in the group may swipe the membership card.
Are there any restrictions on redeeming loyalty points?
Loyalty points may be redeemed for medical consultations only. Loyalty points may not be redeemed for other services. (Procedures/medications etc.)
Is there an expiration date for earned loyalty points?
“No”. there is no expiration date. Loyalty points may be redeemed whenever the cardholder wishes.
Are there any services that are excluded from earning loyalty points?
Loyalty points are accumulated/earned ONLY for paid “Medical Consultations”.
